All the way west, all the way to freedom!

At an altitude of nearly 4,600 meters in Tibet's Ali region, the sacred lake Marbunyongcuo is like an "eternal jasper" set between heaven and earth, with the lake reflecting the majestic Namunani Peak and the sacred mountain Gonzaga. For explorers, arriving here is a double test of will and driving. I am glad that my partner this time is the Earthstorm Ford ES3000, an expedition truck designed for expeditions.
Human-vehicle unity among sacred mountains and lakes
When the ES3000 was firmly parked on the shore of the sacred lake, I activated the roof raising structure and opened the side top box. Instantly, a mobile home with a three-dimensional layout was displayed between heaven and earth. Lying on the oversized double bed, I could look up at the starry sky of Gonzaga through the car window, and it was a marvelous feeling.
Early the next morning, I used the legendary water of the sacred lake to make tea. The water of the lake is said to wash away the worries of the mind. Sitting next to the expanded side box, sipping hot tea and watching the sunlight redden the top of the mountain, I truly understood the essence of the design of this adventure truck - it's not just a means of transportation, but also a mobile space that can take you deep into the extreme realm and let you live in comfort.
Adventure tips and practical advice
If you are also planning to drive an expedition truck to Mabunyon, here are a few lessons that might help you:
BEST SEASON: The best season to visit the Mabunyon region is from June to October each year. Our trip, in late October, was already a bit chilly, but we avoided the mud of the rainy season and the scenery was particularly spectacular.
Trip Planning: The circumference of the sacred lake is about 60 kilometers and the trek around the lake usually takes 2 days. You can park your ES3000 at a suitable campsite by the lake and use it as a base camp for the trek. Be sure to respect the local religious customs and pay attention to your behavior while turning the lake or taking photos.
SUPPLIES & ACCOMMODATION: There are small villages near the lake, namely Wu Temple, that offer simple accommodation, but self-sufficiency is the biggest advantage for expedition trucks. It is vital to complete the final resupply of supplies in Pulan County or Shiquanhe Town before departure.
Sailing farther into the distance
When I drove the Earth Storm ES3000 away from Mabunyonglong and westward along the sparkling La'anglong ("Ghost Lake"), the interior was still as warm as spring, and the ENF-grade environmental protection panels created a healthy space that made the long-distance trip a peace of mind. This adventure truck, which combines off-road performance, environmental technology and home comfort, convinced me that I have all the conditions for my next global expedition.
